Hey everyone.....we at gyangang aim at bringing the latest to you and its in line with that endeavor that Pranav from our team explored the internship scene at Delhi University and realize thats its a rage. Here is what Pranav and some of his friends had to say.



Pranav Khuarana, Hansraj college

If you think that Delhi University students are just enjoying their holidays then you may not be completely correct.

Most of the students are doing some kind of effectual work rather than wasting their holidays in some unproductive or bootless way.
Some students go for BPO jobs, some are into company internships and some are doing various professional and creative courses. Various options are there for the students who want to do something productive in their holidays and want to earn something along.

But why students have suddenly taken this direction. What is their actual AIM?

Well I did a small survey and looked out for some of the students’ objectives of not just enjoying their holidays but working.

Srishty Garg who is a B.Com (Hons.) student from Lakshmi Bai College is spending her holidays by doing a short term course on Stock Broking and also she is earning a little bit by taking tuitions. According to her “we are now old enough to take some responsibilities and earn a little bit so as not to bother our parents for pocket money.

Garima Bhambhri, an economic Hons.
Student from Hansraj College who is currently working in an NGO called Aman Biradri as a volunteer. She says that, “I feel privileged to go there and teach & play with the orphaned children. I am of course not doing it for money or certificate either, it’s about personal satisfaction.”

According to Bhawna Aggarwal, a student from Ramjas College who is currently doing a course on web designing, this is the right time to be utilized for doing something of your interest, she would have love to do some kind of part time job but her parents didn’t allow her to.

I myself spend two months as a summer trainee in a company called Oyster Learning, Noida based. This company is an educational products and services company
My work profile consisted mainly of research work and content development in context to banking industry. In addition to that I got chance of giving training sessions to trainers. I also got an experience of marketing the products and telecalling. I got a very good exposure to the corporate world.


CONCLUSION, I think is that many of us students are career oriented and also want to get a good exposure of the outside world. Some our getting influenced from their friends and some are just following the trend. Whatever the case may be, the fact is that WE ARE DOING SOMETHING WORTH IT.
